Dear List,
Help. I bought this firewire drive, a LA Cie CD RW 52X32X52
firewire. but can't get it to work either with the firewire card in my
computer an S-900 which sees everything else I attach, a Yamaha firewire
CDRW, two OWC firewire hard drives, etc. I am using 9.1 and the LA Cie
includes Toast Lite 5.2.2--it doesn't show up on my wife's Mac 8600 either,
which also has a firewire/usb board and works fine with all other firewire
devices. Two technicians at La Cie were simply puzzled, the third said it
might not work on an add-in-board. I have a G-3 processor in my S-900 and a
G-4, in my wife's computer. It won't show up at all on my desktop, showed
up briefly on my wife's to install some software when we first bought it,
but that was one time only, but now won't show up in Toast, not 5.2.2 or
Toast Deluxe 4.1 which I still use.
Anyone know of a workaround?
