I know this is slightly off topic, but I'm having a hard time getting some answers on a problem I'm having, and you guys seem to know almost everything Mac-related. So, here goes. I bought a G3 MT sometime back & have maxed out the ram and upgraded the processor to a G4 500. Originally the computer came with a 6 gig SCSI HD on a UW PCI card, running OS 9.2. When the time came to upgrade to OS X, I installed a PCI/ATA controller card (SIIG 133, I think) and installed a Maxtor 19 gig 7200 rpm HD, partitioned with about 7 1/2 gig on partition #1 & the balance on #2. I installed Jaguar with a minimum of pain. The install placed OS X on #1 & left Classic on the original HD. Fine! Everything worked great. Eventually it occurred to me that I was wasting HD space as #2 was empty, plus I needed the UW SCSI card for the Umax S-900 I'm rebuilding. I copied everything on the original HD to #2, pulled the SCSI card & HD out. All hell broke loose. I've managed to resuscitate everything (reblessed the System Folder, etc.) and all seems okay except printing in Classic. I am using a Samsung ML-1710 Laser Printer. This works fine in OS X and did work fine in Classic until the change-over. Thus far I've re-installed the Printer software drivers, run DiskWarrior in OS 9.2 (an enormous help. . .), hit the cuda switch, zapped the PRAM, repaired permissions, etc. Nothing works. I get an error message "An error has occurred while printing this document. Try printing again. ID=$0201" There's a second error code in the lower left-hand corner ($0F06). Anybody with any idea why I can't get this to print? This is driving me nuts (okay, it's a short trip).
Thanks in advance! Scott Birdwell
