Has anyone tried VueScan with an S900? I have a Sonnet G4 450 card, lots of memory and disk space, OS X 10.3.5. The scanner is a Nikon LS-1000 film scanner, on a SCSI chain that has worked flawlessly for years.
When I change none of the default settings in VueScan, and click Preview, the slide makes one pass in and out, and a little sound like the start of a second pass. Then the never-ending color wheel comes up, and force quite doesn't work - I have to shut down and start up again.
I briefly tried my Microtek Scanmaker E3 scanner, with broadly similar results :-(
I reckoned that it was just too old to be supported.
Any mileage in trying the scanner with iCapture? Guess not.
