Hi, Recently, Mac OS 10.2 won't start up on my S900 with Sonnet G4
processor upgrade. I installed 10.2 using XPostFacto. When it starts up, at
the white screen with the Apple logo, the circle suddenly freezes and I have
to use the Sonnet restore disk to start up in 9.1. I'd like to use OS 10
again. Thanks

It might be instructive to switch verbose mode on in XPF. My setup froze at a line saying something about ADB, but I think it was actually barfing on a disk check.

What G4/mhz? If 700/800 you have the wrong processor upgrade.
Yesterday I tried too. I had the same result as you had.

And as reported in this list before, the same here :-(

Sonnet tech support did their best, but no go. I'd definitely recommend reporting the problem to them though, otherwise they won't know that there's a real problem.

Last year this computer has taken so much time and cash I'd better bought a
nice Emac and considering the time an Imac :-(

I've now got a nice G5 ;-)
