Yep, same switch.

Info can be found in some mac programming books, or in the current version of what used to be called "Inside Macintosh".

Hi Steve;

I haven't the foggiest idea ---- that's the reason for the posting to start with. "Programmer's switch", sounds like something else that I need to find out about!!! ;<(

I'm assuming the is the same as the "Programmer's
Swtich" on the original Macs. Right?

Thanks Barrey, As is the usual case with questions
of this type, now where can I find 'debugger' information?

(2) is the Interrupt switch.

Drops you into the debugger. (basic debugger

unless you have MacsBug

loaded).
If you hit it by accident, you can usually type

"g" and return to get

going again. (no quotes, just g).

Is ther a BOOK, FAQ, GURU where I can find out

all those 'quick little

fixes' that everyone knows.
Little bits of information such as the FACT that

a 'GEOPORT' is a MD8

socket with an additional 9th pin that has 9Volts

available on it.

(That one only took me 2 and a half days of

internet search.)

What are the THREE buttons on the front of the

S900. Two I'v got, but

the third one is a puzzle.
(1) Circle with LED iluminated line (power)
(2) Small button, small depressed circle (unk.

brings an input box of

some sort to the screen.)
(3) left arrow (hardware reset)

TIA
