A few days ago I attempted to fire it up and got black screen.
Here's the thing - I don't have the time for, or interest in, diagnosing what the problem is, though it is probably simple. This computer was working fine, I simply shut it down over 18 months ago and never turned it on again. This used to be a real workhorse for me, had all kinds of cards stuffed into it at one time or another. Hey, I don't need to sell anyone here on the versatility of these machines. But I have my main system, I have a good spare system and this one is just sitting here.
So, I pulled the hard drive (needed that for a 7500 I just revived today) and want to sell the rest.
Two other things:
1) It is pickup only. I don't have a box and I don't have a car. You don't want to pay for shipping, packing and my taxi fare to UPS to just buy a 7 year old computer, and I don't want to lug it around since I am recovering from a broken shoulder.
2) No, I won't part it out. Parting it out is too much trouble considering the transportation issues I just told you about.
Here is what I have:
S900 with front door INTACT, original CD-ROM drive, approximately 48MB RAM, original TwinTurbo 8MB video card, 200MHz 604E processor. I even have a couple SCSI drives sitting around doing nothing, I'll throw one in if you want one. I need to rummage through my stuff a little, but I am certain I have the original mouse and keyboard also.
As I said, it used to work fine, Maybe something needs to be re-seated.
Anyway, make me an offer and be willing to come to Sarasota (or send a proxy) to pick it up.
