If you want your Umax S900 to be as fast as it can possibly be, you should probably go with an XLR8 SSE carrier card from:
http://xlr8.com/Apple_Mac_Products/XLR8_Macintosh_Products/Mac_CPU_Adapter_SSE_PS.html and a Powerlogix zif from: http://eshop.macsales.com/Catalog_Item.cfm?ID=6849&Item=PLGPFZGX10001M This will make your S900 insanely fast for such an old machine in OS9, and quite useable in OS X. The only drawback of this configuration is that you won't be able to use any applications that require a G4 processor. Personally, I wouldn't even think about running iDVD or Final Cut Pro on my S900, although for some, it might be a necessity. You can get more information about this upgrade here: http://www.mail-archive.com/[email protected]/msg11148.html Good luck.
