I can't remember the cursor issue, but I do remember having some odd quirks happening when I first installed OS 9.2.2. Someone on this list suggested deselecting certain items in Extension Manager. If you view "as packages" in Extensions Manager, there is a folder called "Mac OS 9.2.1 Extras 1.2". I deselected the four items in there (Classic Rave 1.7, Classic Support UI 1.3.1, ProxyApp 1.0, and Quickdraw 3D Rave 1.7) and everything was much more stable.
