I'm finally loaded OSX on my s900. I feel like I was
one of the last ones left to make the change.
First I want to thank Umax and the people who work
there for creating such a great machine. Also want to
thank the people at XPostFacto for that utility.
I bought my Umax in 1997. It's gone through 8.1, 8.5,
8.6, 9.1 and now X. I mean, that's some serious bang
for my $1,000 bucks back then.
With this s900, i have IDE, ADB, USB, FireWire, Floppy
(in 9.1 mode), and even SCSI, though there's nothing
SCSI left in my workhorse.
Loaded with a Gig of RAM, two big hard drives, there's
no shame in my computer when placed next to the new
G5s. Although not as pretty, it's a marriage rather
than a fling.
How many people have gone through the beige g3s, then
the blue g3s, then the g4s and now the g5s... the only
constant in my life has been my s900.
i'll be sad one day when i'll have to retire it, but
it's so well built and flexible, i don't know when
that time will come.
I know apple doesn't make much money off me, but Umax
had me at hello.
