The latest instalment in this thrilling saga is that, after swapping out the dead G4 upgrade (CPU1) with another identical one (CPU2), using identical
settings, the S900 works perfectly!

Ergo, the problem must be CPU1: the carrier card and/or the chip.

Great news ! Glad to hear it. If I remember correctly the G4 upgrades are new. I'd email Gary at Daystar & see about sending the G4 back for testing. I'd also see if he would test the Carrier card for you as well though if you have two of them you could test yourself by switching out. Will S
