If Dan has a "long hidden archive" it isn't complete. I remember several times he asked for copies of missing digests after server problems.Paul c

I'd suggest that you put it up in someone's ftp or web space (the SuperMac site that Kennedy maintains would be ideal), but I'm not sure if that would be stepping on Dan's copyright toes.

I have some space available, but my site is hardly a place that people think to look when they want to find something like that.

Thanks for the ideas. It's a bigger project then expected. If I could have posted the Digests to the list that likely would have been one of the easiest ways to do it and not step on any toes. Since it looks like I can't I could send them to people a few at a time perhaps. Things that slow the process down. The Digests are in the form of Eudora mailboxes. They include personal email from the same time period. So these will have to be sorted out. I'm guessing these mail boxes could be opened by double clicking on the mailbox. If you have a copy of Eudora on your hard drive in OS 9. At least some versions of "Mail" in OSX can import Eudora mailboxes. I would otherwise have to convert to text files perhaps a long process.... I'm surprised how clunky Eudora is for editing etc after getting used to Panthers improved "Mail" It was my favorite app for years. As far as posting on the web. A number of years back a crazy guy (who Dan booted from the group) started up a SuperMac yahoo group. He included all available supermac digests and posts and was promising to kill off Dan's email group. It only took a few days for Dan to get Yahoo to close it down . Since the list was a private email list at that time Dan could decide who could post publicly. In later posts Dan said that it wasn't legal to post peoples private email posts without their permission in a public web area. I don't know if that is true or not but to keep the peace it may not be possible to post them in public any where but here ;-( As far as posting them at the supermac insiders web site. I'd be more then surprised if Dan has a long hidden archive. I would of course likely be willing to provide my archive once it's ready. If no one shows up with a better source. My DSL service allows me to run a server . Uploads are limited to 384KBps not super fast but not so bad. OSX makes it easy to set aside a folder and allow access by ISP address & with password protection. So it maybe possible to do that as soon as I've edited the folders. I'm not sure how much interest there is in these digests. It maybe just Phillip who would like to get them on cd. Will S
