Yes, another post about USB.
I have a vintage S900L running OS 9.1 (400 MHz G30 with what I
think are the current USB extensions.
They are:
HID Library 1.4.4
Serial ShimLib 1.4.6
USB Device Extension 1.5.6
USB Software Locator 1.5.6
USB Support 1.5.5
And some USB printer sharing, mass storage, etc which do not
appear to be relevant.
Apple USB Adapter Card Support 1.4.1 appears to install this
stuff. I got them separately and have not actually run that
installer.
Almost certainly, the problem is the IO Gear GIC220U card - a two
port USB PCI card. After talking to the manufacturer (the tech
support guys first language was not English so it took a while) it
sounds like the PCI slots changed with the Blue and White G3s.
So - will this card not work at all? I tried different slots (top
and bottom), pushing Cuda button, etc.
I have seen some posts lately of people looking to sell usable USB
1.1 cards - I would happily do Paypal for $5 with shipping.
