Fellow SuperMac Alumni -

After many moons and trying many trouble shooting actions, the problem was
(duh - this was sort of obvious by now) that the card I have (IO Gear) is
not compatible with the SuperMac S900L.

The good news is that the OrangeLink + card is compatible.

Anyway, I borrowed a card that works in a pal's Beige G3, put it in the
S900L, and it fired right up. I printed to his Epson 777i USB printer.

So - the problem was never the extensions. I still run OS 9.1 but have the
latest USB extensions. See below.

And sure enough, when the right card was installed, the USB printer port
shows up in the Chooser.

Now to unload the USB card (that is supposed to work in the Blue and White
Mac) and get an OrangeLink or compatible card.

Yes, this is of limited economic utility but it was fun to figure this one
out.
