When I was looking for a wireless router, I checked our local mac user group. DLink routers have had issues with OSX in the past, service cutting in an out and speed changing. I don't know if it has issues with clones or not.

Linksys was recommended and I checked with their technical support since I have a long distance between my two computers and my friend's linksys had range problems when he accessed it through his handheld. I wanted to have one router talk to another router so I could have the signal captured and rebroadcast. Not only was technical support rude, but it took three trys to get the man (located in India) to understand what I wanted to do. He then abruptly said, "no, the router doesn't do that" and hung up.

The third router was a Buffalo. I went with them. I have a router hooked up to my DSL modem. I have a G4 running OS 10.4.3 wired to the router. I have a UMAX J700 running 9.1 also hooked up to it wired. For a while I had my Centris 650 hooked up wired and it runs on OS 8.0. I hook up my Dell, HP and Apple laptops wirelessly. I have a second Buffalo downstairs in the other corner of the house. My signal strength is good even into the woods in my backyard (about 100 yards from either router). I get good throughput (3x G) and I can use all of my computers on it. Tech support for Buffalo is 24 hours, toll free, and American, so if you are into supporting our local techs instead of a foreign outsource, Buffalo tech service is it. They have been very helpful, especially with earlier editions of their software and the older OS's. Also, I sometimes get issues when the DSL goes down and I have to reboot all of the devices, but it is fairly simple to correct with their help. Also setting up secure access was a piece of cake. I think the interface is html or java based since it looks the same on the Mac and on the PC's. Lastly, their technical support has no time limit.
