I have an application for which I need to keep all logs indefinitely. Rotating them into sub-directories would help keep the number of files from expanding into an unmanageable number. So if someone has any other suggestions on how to manage log rotation without pruning, I'm all ears.
So what you really need is a logging tool without the maximum total size cap, or with it disabled somehow.
