I did a couple of fixes to the debian package installer such that the debian/ubuntu installer deals properly with the dichotomy between systemd and upstart and the fact that they both may be installed in the system at the same time. This was causing the installer to fail in ubuntu 16.04. I have a fix, which involves strictly working with the debian files and wanted to submit it. Is the right place to start here or in some debian or possibly an ubuntu maintainers list?
