s6-rc: output of ./finish not directed to logger?

I found that, with the current behaviour of s6-rc, the output of
`./finish' is not redirected to the logger process:

> $ ls /run/service/some.service
> data       event      finish     run        run.user   supervise

Is this a design decision?  If not, I think it would be really nice
(and, hopefully, technically fairly easy) to add that feature (even if
not enabled by default) to s6-rc :)
