I think maybe the right way to deal with this (and a variety of other logging requests such as syslog, etc) is to make supervisor's logging pluggable so folks could easily add whatever loghandler they needed.
I might have a little time to hack on this (we have a general need for a syslog logging implementation for supervisor). Was basically planning to use entry-points and some sort of specification style ala Paste for configuration.
