Its not done by me, that was on the default config.
So, should I try just ${HOME}/public_html?
Any other suggestion? If I disable php5 module php dont work at all, just
wants to download the php files.

They are TWO different pathes!

Ehm, this does not work here.
It accept only one path without wildcard.

Maybe you set this to "false" (not recommended)
