Hello, I am setting up suPHP in an NFS, multi-user environment where it will be serving webpages from many userdirs (student accounts) as well as from the standard docroot (university webpage). I am not completely clear on how setid modes will interact with userdirs. I would like to use Paranoid mode as it's recommended and will allow me to use UserGroup to set the docroot to be run as some other user.
Here's what I'm not clear on: in setid mode paranoid, will suPHP automatically use the user and group of the userdir when serving content from userdirs? or do I need to add some sort of configuration to Apache to explicitly tell suPHP which user and group owns the userdir? Sorry if this is discussed elsewhere, I wasn't able to find it. Thanks, -- Jesse B. Crawford (jeanluc) Systems Programmer Tech Computer Center New Mexico Inst. of Mining & Tech.
