Hi, I wonder how to increase the framerate on an elphel camera?
When I do full resolution, mplayer seems to report a framerate of 10fps or less: VIDEO: [MJPG] 0x0 0bpp 7.000 fps 0.0 kbps ( 0.0 kbyte/s) but interestingly, I get the same framerate if I use half or quarter of the image dimensions. also, even at full resolution, the CPU load on the camera is actually not really high: Mem: 28560K used, 12888K free, 0K shrd, 0K buff, 17072K cached CPU: 7% usr 24% sys 0% nic 62% idle 0% io 1% irq 3% sirq Load average: 0.44 0.33 0.22 2/38 1572 PID PPID USER STAT VSZ %MEM %CPU COMMAND 779 778 root S 44896 108% 30% /usr/local/bin/str 1506 1433 root R 1480 4% 6% top 1432 727 root R 1568 4% 2% /usr/sbin/dropbear 776 1 root S 44896 108% 0% /usr/local/bin/str 778 776 root S 44896 108% 0% /usr/local/bin/str 764 763 root S 30888 74% 0% /usr/local/sbin/php 765 763 root S 30888 74% 0% /usr/local/sbin/php 763 762 root S 30824 74% 0% /usr/local/sbin/php so there is CPU room to enable a higher framerate. is there a way to do so? or is there a bottleneck I don't see, that does not enable higher framerates?
