Hello Jeff,

Please have a look at my blog post and search "multicast" in the page:

Objet: [Elphel-support] Multcast

Hello,

I have an application where I make some computation in the picture in Real
Time, so for this purpose I have to decompress the datas make operation on it.

So there is no real trouble on this part, but we need to be able to capture the
video too and it's specially in this part that we have trouble.
If the video flux is open then the camera is busy and we can't succeed in
recording the video.

As I'm not an expert in the network configuration, I don't know if the
multicast option can solve this issue, I see that multicast can send the video
flux on different destination but I don't know if it's possible to have two
video flux on the same IP adresse.

If it's possible, then I would like to have the explanation on how to use the
camera in multicast mode.

I see that there is adresses, port to be configured on the camera and on the
computer too in order to allow the multicast mode.
I really don't find how too parametrise this mode on the wiki so I would really
appreciate a complete explanation that helps to solve this real issue.

Best Regards
