Hello

We'd like to continue our JP46 experiments, but one of the main issues is
regarding live preview, which poses problems even on very powerful systems
(as discussed recently with Sebastian Pichelhofer). It makes no sense to
decode the full frame for resizing anyway, is there any documented method
for quick scaling of the original JP46 image (by e.g. binning/skipping
parts), similar to some existing JPEG fast resizing methods ?

Another interesting feature would also be decoding only parts of the
original image (so that you can watch 1:1 previews for focus optimization).

We would add this method to the jp462bayer gstreamer plugin, allowing
simultaneous original RAW dumping and smaller resolution preview.

Thanks for any suggestions,

Florent
