Hello Juha, This is not an easy question to answer. The operating temperature range depends on the particular requirements. The electronic components can operate in wide temperature range - we have some cameras that for years work under the direct Sun in Utah and we had some cameras in Chita, Russia where the temperatures below -45C are common. The black anodizing from the camera enclosures broke off because of the cold, but that did not have any effect on the camera operation.
On the other hand, temperature variations influence optics - lens focused for one particular temperature will be out of focus if the temperature changes dramatically. We do make temperature compensated sensor front ends for Eyesis cameras, but that is only compensated fro one particular lens type. We measured uncompensated shift of focus ~0.2 um/C, the compensated is under 0.03um/C. Temperature variations of the distance to the focal plane may be less critical if you have possibility to focus the camera fro that particular temperature. What is you application? What lens do you plan to use?
