This sounds like Thunderbird bug #232562. See <https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=232562>, which was closed as "Works for me". If so, I would be very concerned that (1) the bug was improperly closed, (2) development of the newer version of Thunderbird (being incorporated into SeaMonkey 2) has concentrated on new bells and whistles without fixing actual discrepancies, and (3) old bugs are being introduced into a new version of SeaMonkey. -- David E.
