Try using the Adblock Plus extension. If you are still on SeaMonkey
1.1.x, be sure to get the 1.0.1 version; later versions are for Firefox
3.x and SeaMonkey 2.

I have a copy if you want me to send it to you. 1.0.1 is NOT available
from the Adblock Plus site, so I'm not sure where else to get it.

Go to Mozdev at <http://www.mozdev.org/> for quick access to
extensions for Firefox, Thunderbird, SeaMonkey, and other
Mozilla-related applications. You can access Mozdev much
more quickly than you can Mozilla Add-Ons.
