It does. There are a lot of bug reports filed about window geometry.

I suggested a dirty partial workaround in:

(see comments #4 & 13), but one needs some scriptable editor. This was 
easy for me on Linux, but on Windows you'll probably have to install one. 
If you find "sed" (the one I used) for Windows, I'll send you my 
command-line.
