Ever since upgrading smoothly to SM 2.0, I have noticed that embedded flash
video windows no longer loads in pages such as these:

http://money.cnn.com/2009/10/30/technology/facebook_spammer/index.htm?postversion=2009103010

I have now disabled flashblock and tested. After a while a get inside of
the text a window with an arrow. I have to scroll down somewhat to see
it. After pressing that arrow the video starts.

What does Help->About Plugins says about your Flash? I get Shockwave
Flash 10.0 r32.

My Flash plug in is version 10R12, but that minor version difference with your Flash version 10R32 should not be an issue, because this problem never occured while using any version of SM 1.X at all. The correct sequence of events on that page should be that after a few seconds, the video link will AUTOMATICALLY EXPAND to the whole player frame and there will be the play button in the frame. I normally don't even need to click the video link at all. Then, when you click the play button, the Flash video will play.

Under SM 2.0, the link never expsnds into the video window, and even when I click the link to expand the window and click play, nothing happens. This is highly likely yet an SM 2.0 issue. Just one more issue that SM 2.0 has with Flash video playback.
