Right. And that i don't like. For this NG i'm using a sig file, which
contains only the word Hartmut. I don't want the delimiter in this or

That was the reason for another of my private patches. A long, long time
ago. This one forbids SM to ever set the sig delimiter. If one is
needed, well, then i write it myself in a sig file.

Or you could do what I do:
Go into Mail & Newsgroup Account Settings for your NG account and set up
a different sig from the one you use for other purposes. The sig you see
below omits the contact data I include with my regular correspondence,
and I have a separate sig file for this that I reference by name in the
M&NGAS. Since the NG account is linked to the abbreviated sig, I never
have to worry about inadvertently including the full data here.
In fact, I have five different sigs for my five different mail accounts,
and I can edit them all independently without affecting the others.
