In that case i would unsubscribe from this NG, close SM und remove all traces of this NG in the profile. Especially the .msf of this NG in the folder news.mozdev.org. The newsrc-news.mozilla.org should be fine after unsubscribing. After restarting SM and new subscribing of the NG i would be pretty surprised if the problem is still there.
