Being able to "alternate click" or "right-click" using a geture on the
new trackpads ont MacBook rocks! I'm one of the many that are drooling
for Apple to produce a wireless keyboard that incorporates the MacBook
trackpad - I hate mice in general, no matter whose they are. Gimme a
trackball!

anything. Haven't found one as of yet - left or right, yeah...middle?
Not so much...not for me anyway...

I've tried trackballs and never could get them to work for me, made my
hand cramp up. I prefer a mouse and have gotten use to track-pad on my
PowerBook. This is not say Trackballs are good or bad. Mice are neither
good or bad as well, or trackpads.

I'm just the opposite - a mouse makes my hand cramp really bad, and I also hate having to paw the desk, and leave/make more room to do so. Once I made the conversion from using a mouse I became hooked for life.

I have a trick I use for setting up a trackball or a trackpad - I always set the device up so I can cross the screen diagonally from corner to corner in a single swipe.

That way, no matter what size screen I'm working on or which device, the hand movement required is very similar if not nearly identical. I can move from machine to machine and control any one comfortably and uniformly.
