Just updated to SM 2.0 and now when I am doing work other than
mail/internet (SM not on) SM will start by itself. I remember having
this problem some years ago with SM 1.x.x and was able to change some
setting, but having a senior moment and don't remember where or what to
do. Thanks for any help.
Go to Start> Run then enter msconfig and click OK. Once in msconfig
click on the Startup tab and check to see if Seamonkey is listed. Then
report back.
No, it is not listed.
Edit, Main& Newsgroup Account Settings, Server Settings. It it set to
Check for new messages every x minutes?
Am I missing something? Doesn't this only do something when the application
is running? It doesn't cause the application to launch when it's not
already running. Or are you suggesting it does?
IF you was using a Mac I would say you have it set to open at Login.
which means as soon as you push the on button in the morning and the
computer gets started SM would open if set that way.
Does windows have something similar?
