First of all, please discuss that in the support group, where our users-helping-users community is around to help with exactly such questions. The dev.apps group is for technical discussions about development of the application.
Second, just right-click on the toolbar, e.g. right at the home button, and then select "Customize..." Once you're in toolbar customization mode, you can move the home button out of the toolbar by just dragging it around with the mouse.
