Most of the time I want M to start over clean, and forget all the stuff I might have been doing, but occasionally I want to preserve the context. I have noticed that if I should down I get an empty restart, and if I kill the application I get context preserved. (Linux)

Is there a secret "save context and shutdown" feature I can use within SM?

Also, is there a way to specify the starting position of windows rather than use the window manager default?
