TB/FX has the ability to add buttons to the toolbar using the
'Customize'. That's what I was looking for. To get functionality coming
in by extensions. It seems SM2 supports only "own/core" buttons.
Right? If I missed asking points, just add the missing answer ;-)
Wrong, we support the same mechanism for extensions to put new
elements there - you just probably haven't installed any extension
that does it.

Hi Robert,
Wrong also, or partly??
I have installed Reminderfox 1.9.6 which supports 'Customize' with FX,
TB2/TB3, PB with the only one code base.
With SM2 using the context menu on the toolbar works only with the
'main' toolbar (Add the 'Calendar icon' or the 'Bow' symbols). With the
mail opened by Ctlr+2 there is no such Customize, only some features to
change the display of the buttons. Wrong also?
Wrong Also.

As you can see here I've put several of the ReminderFox buttons in the
MailNews menubar.

Sorry Phillip,
not possible with my installation
Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.9.1b3pre)
Gecko/20090223 SeaMonkey/2.0a3
I can
* 'customize' with the main window,
* have limited capabilities with the mail window (see at
http://img46.imageshack.us/img46/4541/smcustomize.png) .. without
the 'customize'
* and NO menu popup with the compose window.
No output to the error console.
