I think that it's a valid RFE for it, yes. Although the reasoning here
probably is that twisties (is that the correct name?) perform the same
role as a standard UI feature.

I would have to either talk to Chris P. or dig around for the history of
the Developer Toolbar, but it's possible that it predates Firefox -- and
the "hide" button was a late addition to make up for the lack of
twisties in FF.
