Am I missing something....that screen talks about "Allowing website to
install extensions and updates".....I don't have any sites listed in the
"Allowed Sites" so www.seamonkey-project.org is not allowed to install
updates.
In the bottom part of the screen, I do have it set up to *check* for
updates weekly.....but nowhere does it say "Install"
Am I reading too much into these words??

I _think_ app.update.auto and/or app.update.silent in the about:config
is the setting for this:

Perhaps someone with more knowledge on the settings can clarify?
Thanks for that, NoOp. By default a.u.auto is set to True and a.u.silent
is set to False, which, to me, means it will automatically update but
will tell me it's doing it, which is what happened.
What *I* expected would happen was that SM would tell me there was an
update available and ask if I wanted to get and/or install it.
