We really do need a better design for them on all platforms, but as I already mentioned somewhere, we lack a graphical designer - we'd be happy to get help there, as some icon work is also still needed.
The other theme bug that I had mentioned in the original posting had to do with incorrect Personal Toolbar bookmark overflow handling at the right margin overlapping the chevron overflow menu icon. This seems to be unique to the Default Theme as the Modern theme doesn't exhibit this behavior.
I'm pretty sure there is a Bugzilla entry for this, it comes up randomly, it seems. I wonder if the rework of the bookmark system (which we should do for 2.1) will be able to help, but not really sure.
