That's quite a few but there is no "full" that fast.
Start "playing", export your addresses, move the addressbook out of its
place after closing SM, then restart and see if it starts to add new
addresses afterwards. If it does, try to import your previously exported
ones.
If it still doesn'T work test the same in another/new profile (use SM
ProfileManager to create one)

Have completed the export to LDIF, deleted all content from the
Collected Addresses ab in SM, closed the program. Not sure which file
I'm looking for in Windows Explorer -- is it history.mab?
In my profile, I see the following mab files:
abook-1.mab (2 KB)
abook-2.mab (30 KB)
abook-3.mab (11 KB)
abook.mab (337 KB)
history.mab (2280 KB)
ipmab.mab (23 KB)
infospace.mab (2 KB)
verisign.mab (2 KB)
I also see a file "history.mab.bak," size 2659 KB.
