Is this happening on this server, another server all servers?
I would say check your account settings, but we need more information to
give any real specific help.

Sounds like for some reason you have *always request authentication on
this server* set.
I have one server, Annexcafe that requires it. It the method they use to
prevent Spam. I've been on it for years and I yet to see a piece of
spam. And they have strict rules, as well.
