That is the reason. If you did test betas, we assume that you are willing to test stable updates before they go to the masses as well.

The technical reason this happens is that the beta did set your installation to the "beta" update channel, which we are also using for pre-testing the security/stability updates.

If you want to change away from that channel (and to the normal "release" channel), or want to opt-in to getting those still-testing updates in the future, see this document on QMO: http://quality.mozilla.org/documents-home/test-docs/update-testing#update_channels (note that any channel names with "test" in their name are not to be normally used, they may just be incredibly broken at any time and solely used for testing _before_ putting things onto beta or release channels).
