Hi Bill Thanks for your reply. As long as they are marked unread I don't lose them in the trash file, in the incoming email I did not have that problem but now it is the same, if it is marked unread no problem, read and close it and they are gone. Weird for sure! I have SM set with do not delete in Mail and Newsgroups. Set in the mail folder and in the browser. No luck. Lucky for me I had done a recent backup and after strenuous thinking I remembered where to find them so did not lose all that much. Just ticks me off. Now I have to look in the about:config and see if I can find any thing in there that would cause it. Computing can be so much fun! (grin)

The latest thing I see is messages from popular vendors about orders canceled, delayed, price change, etc. When you open it tries to D/L javascript. Note "tries" in my case, I'm a devout paranoid and check stuff like that.
