The reason for what I am about to say seems obvious, so I'll just say
that I came this group to see if switching from Thunderbird (and
Firefox) to Seamonkey was worth the effort, a switch to some thong is a
given.

Among the problems being discussed in the Thunderbird froup are filter
failures--some a little different from the ones discussed here, some
identical, some observed but not reported.

So the answers I think are "yes", and "yes", or at least the relevant
underlying modules are.
