Cedar, how about:-
1. Export your current address book to the ldif format, so you don't
lose anything in it.
2. Copy your old .mab over the top of your current (but now exported)
address book. If you have multiply old addressbooks, after copying each
one, export it as abook2.ldif, abook3.ldif, etc.
3. Import the new ldif addressbook back into your address book. Then do
the other, if necessary.
