Thanks for the reply. I went to the IMAGE ---> LOCATION and also the nearby
IMAGE ----> LINK tabs, and I noticed that the "relative url" option is NOT
selected. Nevertheless, even when I replace a relative url for an image with
the complete, hot-linked url from a different web-site of mine, Sea Monkey
nevertheless reasserts the relative selection on it and on all others once the
saving / publishing is done. Perhaps I need to go elsewhere to stop this?
Or perhaps Sea Monkey just has a bug that folks haven't noticed yet since this
problem is only apparent if one peruses the source code of a published page?

Best regards,
Rich

There's a checkbox for relative URLs or not. I assume that does what you want,
although I haven't tried it since the 1.1.xx series, since the default is what
I
usually want.

Subject: How can I avoid Sea Monkey's automatically converting base
urls to mere relative urls, please?

Hello Listmates:
Might anyone here know how I can keep beloved Sea Monkey from
automatically converting urls of images that I've hot-linked onto my page, to
mere relative urls? I prefer to continue hot-linking images from a different
website of mine, because that consumes fewer resources on my main website
(thereby ensuring faster delivery to aspiring viewers). But when Sea Monkey
automatically converts base urls from external sites to mere relative urls like
it's doing, the images suddenly become locally hosted on my main site, and that
slows things down for everybody else.

Maybe the solution is to go to: Edit--->Preferences--->(CATEGORY) Composer
--->(and then select merely) "preserve original source formatting" ?

Any thoughts, please?

Thanks from Texas,
Rich
