I've done this before, but not for a long time, and I can't find my notes on how to do it, or remember the steps I took the last time I needed to do it....

Since upgrading to 2.0.4, I've noticed some odd rendering problems. The most easily reproduced was on Distorwatch.com, where images that normally appear to the left of the brief write-ups of new releases were not vivivle. Older versions of Seamonkey were displaying them, as was Firefox.

After some checking, it looks as though something has got munged in my upgrade. Renaming ~/.mozilla to ~/.mozilla.old and letting Seamonkey create a new profile fixes the problem.

What I now need to do is migrate passwords, mail and bookmarks to a new profile. Bookmarks are no problem (obviously), but I can't remember how to migrate the mail, mail settings and passwords to the new profile. Can anyone give me step-by-step instructions?

I would also like to be able to share the mail between multiple profiles, but I'm not sure what the best way of doing so is. In the past, I've shared the whole profile amongst a couple of different Linux distros (by creating a symlink from ~/.mozilla to other home directories). While this has worked in the past, I'm wondering if it may have contributed to the recent problem, and I'm also wondering if only sharing the mail would be safer.

Paul.
