Hi,
I have just downloaded the new version of Seamonkey. When I try to
send mail I get the following message -
"Sending of message failed. An error occurred sending mail: Unable to
authenticate to SMTP server smtp.talktalk.net. It does not support
authentication (SMTP-AUTH) but you have chosen to use authentication.
Uncheck 'Use name and password' for that server or contact your
service provider."
I can't find the Use name and password checkbox - can you please tell
me how I get to it? I don't see it in mail and newsgroups account
settings in the edit menu, and I've contacted my service provider,
but they don't support Seamonkey and can't help.
Edit|Mail& Newsgroup...|Outgoing server (SMTP)|click the one that you
are using& then click 'Edit'.
...
Go to Mail and Newsgroup Account Settings (what it's called on Mac Platform
User-Agent: Thunderbird 2.0.0.24 (Windows/20100228)
so I reckon she's running Windows.
yes But despite being on Mac or PC Newsgroup and Account Settings
should be identical on PC or Mac maybe location will be different but
the same thing should be in both.
