Are you _sure_ it's the exact same setup?

Looks to me as if your smtp server setup is incorrect.

Edit|Mail & News...|Outgoing Server (SMTP)
Click the server you've setup. As a minimum it should show:

Description (your choice)
Server Name: smtp.att.yahoo.com
Port: 465
User Name: (your *full* email address: [email protected])
Secure Authentication: No
Connection Security: SSL/TLS

If it doesn't, then edit accordingly.
