Greetings from the cloudy Pacific Northwest --

I'm wondering if there's a more targeted method for killfiling spam with
SM 2.0.5 than the method I'm currently using. I've set up a filter for the
Mozilla newsgroups server targeting the Organization header line (via the
Customize option under the header drop-down box) containing the text
"groups.google.com." Action to be taken is, of course, delete message.

While the above has effectively removed the recent wave of spam the Mozilla
newsgroups are currently suffering, the filter is also nuking any legitimate
messages that might be posted from Google Groups. Hence my pondering as to
whether there's a better header choice (say that five times fast <g>) to
target for a more surgical killfiling of such spam. So far, I've only thought
of filtering by Message-ID, but I think that would cast the same size net and
take out all posts originating from GG.

Any creative suggestions appreciated. While I dislike GG for the reason that
99% of Usenet spam originates from that vector, I also recognize that many
legitimate posters use GG, and I'd like to find a method that doesn't
"penalize" them but effectively kills spam.
