I am aware that my source of help for Microsoft problems will be gone
effective 1 October (i.e., microsoft.public.windowsxp.general and
microsoft.public.win98.gen_discussion). To date, I have been able to
access both groups using SeaMonkey without any problems. Now I
understand I will have to download something called "NNTP Bridge"
software in order to access the replacement forum for the XP group (98
group in already gone forever).
Will the NNTP Bridge work with SeaMonkey and if so how do I make that
happen?
Will it be necessary for me to access these groups via Internet Explorer?
Is there some guide out for how to make SeaMonkey work with the new
Microsoft forums?
As you can see, I am really lost as to how to proceed. I have never
used Internet Explorer - never. My moving to this browser, even for
accessing this forum, is not something I look forward to doing. I was
really hoping that somebody here had some experience with the steps I
need to take to make SeaMonkey access the Microsoft forums.
Here are some references to the subject I am attempting to understand:

Please understand that this old man is not the sharpest tool in town
when it comes to this type of computer fixing. Thus, give me all the
detail you can in your responses.
